Major contribution from Investors Group

Richard Walter, Regional Director of the Saint John Investors Group, said financial consultants with the company will commit $60,000 over the next five years to Habitat for Humanity, Saint John Region Inc.

They’ve helped four families achieve the dream of home ownership through a caring commitment from the community at large and the outpouring of support both financially and in volunteer time from many individuals and companies throughout Saint John.

Involved with the organization since it built its first house in 1998, Investors Group has contributed over $50,000 as well as volunteer time and manpower between 1998 and 2001.

Habitat for Humanity is an independent, non-profit, Christian housing program dedicated to providing homes for families in need. Last year the organization selected Cheryl green and her two daughters Keesha, 12, and Tiffany, 10, for its 2001 home in Saint John.

It is now in the process of selecting a family for its 2002 house. Habitat began collecting applications last fall and plans to announce the family by March.
